A House
of Note
An exhibition on one residential structure,
its first century of standing upright,
and the ongoing, possibly endless, effort to keep it that way.

Statement of Significance
The Balconi has endured a succession of owners, a changing neighborhood, at least two wall removals, and two separate attempts to waterproof the dirt room.
A century in, it remains upright, partially renovated, and covered in dog hair. While no historical authority has yet recognized it, supporters remain optimistic.
“In my expert opinion the house is,
in fact, still here.”
